I've always loved this verse because it reminds us that clothing isn't about impressing people... it's about reflecting confidence, dignity, and the beautiful person God created you to be. While a photograph captures what you're wearing, my hope is that it also captures your joy, your love, and your family's unique story.

Before we dive in, I want to mention something important:

The Recipe for a Beautiful Session:

People often ask me what makes a gallery feel so polished and timeless.

The answer isn't just the camera.

For me, every beautiful session is made up of three equally important ingredients:

⅓ Location

⅓ Lighting & Time of Day

⅓ Clothing (the most important)

If one ingredient is missing, the overall look changes. But when all three work together? That's where the magic happens.

Location gives us the backdrop.

Golden hour gives us that soft, glowing light.

And clothing ties everything together into a gallery that feels elegant, cohesive, and timeless.

My Style: Classy, Sophisticated & Soft

I love images that feel:

Timeless rather than trendy

Bright, colorful, and natural

Full of genuine connection

The clothing you choose plays a huge role in creating that feeling.

Flowy dresses, linen shirts, sweaters with texture, well-fitted jeans, khakis, and simple accessories all photograph wonderfully.

Think "Sunday afternoon with the family" rather than "running errands."

Coordinate—Don't Match

Choose colors that complement one another.

Imagine your family's outfits as a color palette rather than uniforms.

What to Avoid:

To help keep the focus on your family, I recommend skipping:

Apple Watches and smart watches

Large logos

Neon colors

Athletic wear

Wrinkled clothing

Bulky jackets (unless the season calls for them)

Clothes that don't fit comfortably

If you're constantly adjusting an outfit during your session, it will show in the photos.
